Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. Yes, Happiness is a choice, we have got the choice on how we want to live our life. 

It doesn’t really matter the circumstances in our life, we have still got the choice to live an unhappy life, at the mercy of our emotions, events etc., which could be quite miserable some times, or we can choose to live a happy life, be a happy person, whatever the circumstances are, the choice is ours. There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not. Here are five top secrets to eliminate negativity from your life and improve your happiness in your day-to-day life……

1. Always Stay positive
Once you’ve mastered your verbal remarks, try changing the thoughts you don’t say aloud. Start noticing how you think. If you catch yourself thinking negatively, stop yourself. Say: “Stop it!” Then say the exact opposite of what you were thinking.

2. See the beauty of life
Sell yourself on life. See the positives and beauty all around you. You can find millions of reasons to be happy to be alive. When they don’t instantly come to mind, go outside and let them come to you.
3. Take charge of your destiny
When people are dying, they don’t dwell on the car, house, or education they should have acquired, or the places they should have visited. Instead, they think about the people in their lives — the ones they should have been nicer to, the ones they should have married, and so on. It’s all about people, not material objects.

4. It’s ok to grief
No one can deny that bad things happen to good people. When something bad happens, admit that you don’t like it and you’d have preferred something else. But don’t rant and rave or leap into a chasm of suffering. Instead, face the pain head-on and grieve.

5. Be grateful
Being grateful has the power to block out negative emotions. Make gratitude a daily habit. Every day, jot down 10 great things that happened to you or that you are grateful for. Keeping your focus on the positive will really make a difference.
