Cameroon's Cries Heard At Last - Karen Ruth Bass SPEAKS Against Internet Blockage - YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT SHE SAID.

American Democratic politician Karen Ruth Bass who represents California’s 37th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives has urged the Government of the Cameroon to respect the civil and human rights of all of its citizens and immediately end the internet blackout in Former British Cameroon.


Bass serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs where she is Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Congress-member Bass also serve on the prestigious Steering and Policy Committee, which sets the policy direction of the Democratic Caucus,wrote;

On Friday, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) issued the following statement on recent reports indicating that there has been increasing intimidation by the Government of the Republic of Cameroon.
“I am greatly concerned over recent reports indicating that there has been increasing intimidation by the Government of the Republic of Cameroon against the English-speaking population of the country.

“I urge the Government of the Cameroon to respect the civil and human rights of all of its citizens and immediately end its violent attacks on protesters, end the internet blackout in majority English-speaking regions, and ease restrictions regarding what the media is allowed to report.”
