Cameroon Parliament: Clash Between Cavaye Yéguié Djibril The President Of The National Assembly And The Honorable Joseph Wirba

The deputy was cut off yesterday in parliament by the president of the chamber when he spoke of the English crisis.

The daily Mutations, published on June 22, 2017, reports that there was a clash yesterday between Cavaye Yéguié Djibril the President of the National Assembly (Pan) and the Honorable Joseph Wirba. " A clash. A clash too! ". Deputy Joseph Wirba, who re-emerged during this parliamentary session after a long period of absence, was removed from the floor without any problem.

It happens that when he was admitted to the desk, this chamber of the Cameroonian parliament was discussing the draft law on the organization and functioning of the Economic and Social Council of Cameroon. The project was defended in plenary by René Emmanuel Sadi the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization (Minatd). This text, says the newspaper, introduces the issue of environment and sustainable development in the competences of the Economic and Social Council of Cameroon.

Having thus spoken the Deputy of the Social Democratic Front (Sdf) returned to the anglophone crisis. A subject that has not been to the taste of the Pan and that has appeared at this moment as a digression. It was then that Cavaye Yéguié decided to withdraw the floor from the Deputy. " The technical department will even shut down the microphone. Then a bewildering uproar will ensue.

While the Deputy who initiated the controversy asked Cavaye to call the security forces to come and arrest him, Cavaye asked him why he had fled Cameroon since last March's session , daily. This question of the Pan was not appreciated at all by the other Deputies of the Sdf who did not fail to express their support to the Honorable Joseph Wirba.

"Cavaye Yéguié Djibril was not right to withdraw the speech to Deputy Joseph Wirba after the trials he knew and could have cost him life ", told the daily newspaper the Honorable Nicheu vice-president of the parliamentary group Sdf .
