Cameroon -- UB Vice Chancellor Dr. Nalova Lyonga Sent On Retirement

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea Dr. Nalova Lyonga whose security men beat up students, rape some and rub them in sewage during UB student protest over presidential grants award last year has been sent on retirement.

In a presidential decree read over state owned CRTV-radio 5pm news today, she will be replaced by Prof. Ngomo Horace Manga. He hails from Ndian Division, Southwest Region.

Prior to Prof. Ngomo’s appointment, he’d served as SG of the Ministry of Higher education, a position he got through a presidential decree on September 14, 2012.
Nalova Lyonga
Prof. Ngomo Horace Manga, is an Associate Professor of Applied Chemical Engineering. He obtained his PhD from the University of Lagos in 1990.

In the same decree read a few hours ago Melo Sophie Chinje becomes new Rector of university of Ngaoundere. Prof Maggie Tita is now Director HTTC – UBa, and Idrissou Alioum is the new Rector of Maroua University. Source:
