UB Vice Chancellor Exposes Mayor Ekema Patrick Among Other Fake Certificate Holders Of UB Support Staff.... Shame..Shame... Shame

Reports from Bareta news relays that almost 100 support staff of the University of Buea have been fired by government, after it was discovered they used fake certificates during their recruitment.

According to Bareta news, this discovery was made during a campaign to hunt and clean ghost workers in government institutions by the Ministry of Finance.
UB Vice Chancellor Exposes Mayor Ekema Patrick Among Other Fake Certificate Holders Of UB Support Staff.... Shame..Shame... Shame
The source reports that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea had requested for financial aid from the Ministry of Finance to pay her support staff, following the drop of income caused by the ongoing crisis in the anglophone regions. Apparently, the number of staff was higher than that of any other state owned university, and so the Finance Minister ordered the VC to do a censor of her support staff, with verification of authenticity of certificates used during recruitment.

It was during this operation that almost 100 support staff with fake certificates were fished out, with the most shocking one being that of the Lord Mayor of the Buea Council Ekema Patrick, who worked as a support staff of the University, where he later enrolled to pursue a degree.

It was discovered that Ekema Patrick failed the GCE A/Level, with a C in the lone paper he passed in.

It should be noted that Ekema though presently Mayor of Buea remained a support staff of the University because it is Government decision that mayors who work with government institutions will have their salaries suspended during their mandate as mayors.
