Lieutenant General Leonel Claude Meka Revealed the Mission Assigned to the LRC forces by President Biya

The chief of defense staff; Lieutenant General Leonel Claude Meka, has revealed the Mission Assigned to the LRC forces by the head of state; President Biya. He made that announcement on the 22nd of January, 2018 after receiving new year wishes from military personnel from the ministry of defense.

Lieutenant General Leonel Claude Meka said the Mission Assigned to the LRC forces by the head of state; president Biya is to do everything possible to ensure a return to calm, serenity and peace in the two English speaking regions of Cameroon so that Cameroonians can work together for the development of their country.

He urged the soldiers to stay at their duty posts and to remain professional in the execution of the mission.Lieutenant General Leonel Claude Meka also said the Cameroon military should ignore the social media threats and concentrate on their assignments (mission).

The chief of defense staff also warned the soldiers to be on alert as some secessionists have sought refuge in Nigeria.

The phrase Do Everything possible in that mission statement clearly explains why the LRC Forces have resorted to burning down the houses of the villagers in Kwa Kwa village. They have been ordered by president Biya to do everything possible to defeat the Amba Tigers. However the burning of houses at Kwakwa won,t ensure a return to calm, serenity and peace in the two English speaking regions of Cameroon which is the objective of the mission.
