Yaoundé - Inhabitants In Danger Of Death, Atanga Nji Calls For Help

The inhabitants of the locality Akok Ndoé II in the Simbock district, in Yaoundé, live in fear. They fear a possible fall of what is called here "the rock of bats". 

The rock that overlooks part of the Simbock neighborhood is cracking and may fall on houses built below It is already cut in half and crack each day a little more.

What makes fearing that it crashes on the houses built below. A situation alarming enough to bring the Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji and his staff stationed in Yaounde to go there on May 8, 201. They were accompanied by specialists like the civil defense, the military engineering and firefighters. After his visit, Minister Atanga Nji said he will seek the intervention of the President of the Republic of Cameroon Paul Biya for a possible solution to the problem.

"This crack is already big. It widens further. We will prepare a report that we will send to the Head of State. It will give guidance and those who are in charge of managing the problem will get down to this task. People went to build down the rock. It is extremely dangerous.

The people should be extremely cautious. We will see what studies will give. But what is obvious, the head of state, I am convinced, certain, will give instructions to whoever right to solve the problem as quickly as possible, "he said at the microphone of private television International Canal 2.
