Cameroon Electoral Process and The Bad Faith Cameroon Has In Paul Biya

After his electoral failure in 1992, President Paul Biya, after confiscating power by a hold-up against the candidate of the social democratic front (Sdf), has over time perfected the system of electoral cheating by strengthening legal measures to secure his longevity.

Paul Biya, tired and overwhelmed by events

To do this, flawed laws have been passed by members of the ruling party that has an obese majority made from scratch. If not how to understand the refusal of the ruling party to change the electoral laws to establish a climate of trust between the various electoral actors.

Why does the law prohibit the election of the single list, why the regime’s refusal to accede to the opposition’s request to move to a two-round electoral system? Why refuse the publication of the results at the exit of the ballot boxes.
Cameroon Electoral Process and The Bad Faith Cameroon Has In Paul Biya
During the year 2016, Paul Biya promised and committed the finances of the state in the purchase of 500,000 notebooks distributed to the students. Notebooks bought at less than 50.000Fcfa and invoices the taxpayer at 300.000Fcfa. It is questioned why Mr Biya can not thus in the same movement finance the provision of Cameroon electronic voting kits so the number would not exceed 30,000.

A conception of Roland Romain Kouotou, Fore Moderator.

The bad faith of Paul Biya to democratize democratize the political field is therefore proven, and in these conditions, the enjoyment of democracy is not for tomorrow in Cameroon. Elections in the country tomorrow Paul Biya are simply staged to justify its legitimacy because, in fact the man has no desire to leave this power after 36 years at the helm of the country, with a disastrous record.
