Cameroon News - Fru Ndi’s Sister Released From Captivity!

The sister of the Chairman of the Social Democratic Front who was abducted on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen has been released, sources have confirmed.


Christy Akum was reportedly released late on Saturday night and was received at the Chairman’s residence in Ntarikon early on Sunday morning. However, circumstances leading to her release are still unclear.

She was abducted on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen in Baba II Santa Subdivision by gunmen who equally set the Chairman’s residence ablaze.

The incident came just days after security forces had shot the Chairman’s driver on the leg around the Food Market neighbourhood.
The SDF had earlier dismisssed news circulating that the Chairman’s Ntarikon residence had been attacked by armed separatists.
